What the MANCO1 Management Company is and does :
The Management Company is run by a Board of Directors, usually residents of
Poundbury but the Board also includes an Officer nominated by a relevant Registered
Provider of Affordable Housing, and a representative nominated by the Duchy of
Cornwall. All the residential properties, shops and businesses on Poundbury pay an annual management fee to the Management Companies, known as Manco 1, Manco 2 and Manco 3.
The purpose of the Companies are to:
- To maintain all the communal, unadopted facilities at Poundbury including parking courtyards, landscaped areas, trees and services
- The provision and maintenance of lighting (including the cost of replacement and supply of electricity) where this is not the responsibility of any local authority or other authority.
- The provision and maintenance of the communal television and radio system.
- The payment of all rates, insurance premiums, professional fees and other charges of a like nature which may be charged upon or incurred in relation to the communal areas.
All communications at Poundbury are routed underground in a single channel and no TV aerials or satellite dishes are permitted. The Management Companies employ a company called T2 Digital Ltd to maintain and repair these cables and therefore, any problems with your TV services up to the point where the network enters your building should be reported directly to them on 01935 428255.
